Luther Jr., 86, a retired building contractor, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Sinquefield was a Senatobia City Alderman for 20 years and was in the Mississippi Municipal Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Senatobia Civitan Club. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Senatobia. He was formerly a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday school director, and taught Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Houston Sinquefield and his second wife, Sadie Taylor Sinquefield; his son, Bruce Sinquefield; his sisters, Lougenia Thomas and Joyce Tucker; his brothers, John D. Sinquefield and Maurice Sinquefield.
Survivors include: his daughter Jeanie Sprayberry and husband Mike of Sarah, Miss.; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Horne and husband Greg of Madison; step-sons, Hugh Taylor of Vicksburg and Tommy Taylor of Lugoff, S.C.; his sister Emily Red of Memphis, Tenn.; Grandchildren, Chad Sinquefield and his wife Mary Anne of Senatobia, Stephanie Sinquefield of Senatobia, and Cody Bonds of Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Logan Sinquefield.
