Merritt E. "Buzz" Hoffman 68, died Friday, August 20, 2004, at Community Hospital South. He was a resident of Greenwood. He was born December 5, 1935, in Minot, North Dakota. His parents were Merritt and Esther (Loose) Hoffman. He married Joan Oberg Hoffman on December 5, 1959. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Steve (Donna) Hoffman of Lawrence; Merritt "Skeeter" (Brenda) Hoffman of Indianapolis; two daughters, Meridee (Ron) Finney of Greenwood; Sheri (Kevin) Wheeler of Greenwood; two sisters, Elaine Ames of Racine, WI; Gail Wolla of South Carolina; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He graduated from Minot High School in 1953 and North Dakota State in 1957. He was employed for 30 years by Federal Highway Administration as a Civil Engineer, having retired in 1995. He was a member of ATO Fraternity.
