Wilton was the spouse of Nancy and a Korean war veteran and a life member of the D.A.V. He was the Chairperson of the Lebanon Cemetery Advisory Committee to the City of Apple Valley, MN and was instrumental in the cemeteries expansion, improvements, and turning it over to the city in 1998. Prior to 1998, the cemetery was managed since it was first incorporated in 1863 (civil war times) by area volunteers by a Board of Trustees. Wilton also served on that board for many years. He retired after 30 years with the Sperry Corporation today known as the Unisys Corporation
