Edrie Butler Stringer, 57 years of age, of West Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, March 24th, 1966 at the Somerset City Hospital following a short illness.
Edrie was born in the Mill Springs community on April 12th, 1908.
Edrie was survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Frank Pierce Stringer, whom she married on June 24th, 1927; eight sons, Cecil Stringer, Vern Bryce Stringer, Virl D. Stringer, Hawk Lewis Stringer, Frank "Howard" Stringer, Jimmie Bruce "Jim" Stringer, Gerald Stringer, and Roy Lee Stringer; two step-sons, Quantrill Stringer and Zearn Stringer; two daughters, Darlene Bradley and Patsy S. Fogle; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 26th, 1966 at the Ringgold Methodist Church with Rev. George Stevens officiating.
The Farris-Morris & Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Edrie.
Burial was in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, Kentucky.
