Cindy was the victim of a weekend fire at her residence on North Richardson Drive in Somerset, Kentucky. The fire was reported at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday. Witnesses say a neighbor tried to alert Cindy and a passerby pulled out a window unit air conditioner, broke out a window and then kicked down the front door in a failed rescue attempt.

She enjoyed going to truck & tractor pulls and demolition derby's with her son, being outdoors, camping, fishing, collecting looney tunes tazmanian devil memorabilia, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite song was Hotel California by the Eagles.

Cindy was survived by her parents, Vern and Sue Stringer; her loving son, Adam McKinnley Stone; one brother, Terry Lynn Stringer; two sisters, Pamela Sue "Pam" Baker and Verna Joan "Joni" Stringer; a former husband, Joseph Mckinnley "Joe" Stone, whom she married on October 25th, 1980; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
