Final rites for Charles Bruner, 79, of 1251 Smith street, retired Pennsylvania railroad employe, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chase-Miller chapel. The Reverend Harold King will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. Rites will be under auspices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of which he was a member and Spanish American War Veterans, of which he was a member, will be honorary pallbearers. He also belonged to the Calvary Presbyterian church. Born in this city, March 13, 1872, he was the son of Henry and Mary Turnpaugh Bruner. His wife, Myrtle, preceded him in death.
Survivors are a son and a daughter, Robert Bruner and Mrs. James Kingery, both of this city; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His death occurred at 3 o'clock Saturday morning at the Goodwill nursing home in Camden. He had been in failing health for some time.
