Alice M. Kinney, 86, of Kenockee, died Friday morning July, 24, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Hospital.
She was born October 1, 1922, in Port Huron the daughter of the late Edgar and Nellie (LaLonde) Bleau
Her marriage to Michael J. "Pat" Kinney was August 23, 1947, in the old St. Stephen Catholic Church, Port Huron. Mike died August 6, 1993.
Alice was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett and member of the Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella Circle #452, Emmett Senior Citizens, life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary of Gleason-Butler-Sharpe Post # 5585, Emmett.
Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, James and Darlene of Kenockee and Richard and Glenda Bertram of Carsonville, five daughters and sons-in-law, Nell and Daniel Schmidt of Kenockee, Kathryn Robison of Marysville, Mary Therese and Richard Herriman of AZ and Karen and Daniel Taylor of Kenockee and Joanne Kinney and Todd Tembe of WI; grandchildren Patrick (Tracey), Gregory and Jaime Kinney, Scott (Raeanna) and Jason (Kelly) Schmidt, Kerrie (Joe) Bamert and Jaime (Paul) Nederhoed, Brian (Jessica) Gallatin and Stacy Herriman, Nicole Kinney and Jessica (Nick) Ball, Lauren and Jacob Taylor and Tyler and Connor Kowalkowski; 12 great grandchildren; brother Adalord Bleau; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sister Mary Kinney I.H.M., Michael and Mary Lou Kinney, John and Maggie Kinney, and Peggy Kinney, Edward Grace and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are son-in-law Duane Robison and great-granddaughter Ann Marie Schmidt; siblings Ovila (Camilla) Bleau, Robert (Augusta) Bleau, George (Irene) Bleau, Brother Gregoire Bleau, Sister Roselma Bleau I.H.M., Sister Alma Bleau I.H.M., Edna (Kenneth) Corry and Mary L. Grace.
Her family honors the memory of Alice and invites you to visit and share Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with rosary devotion services at 7:00 p.m. by Daughters of Isabella Circle # 452. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Paul Czarnota, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel–Kenockee Cemetery, Kenockee Township.
