Raymond Boston was a devoted husband and father. He served his country in World War II as a medic in the European theater of the war, landing just days after D-Day in Normandy, France, then working in field hospitals near the front as the Allied Army moved towards victory.

Raymond spent many years working on farms and as an orchard worker in Michigan, and then nearer his retirement he worked for nine years in the wood mill at Adelphian Academy where he had the opportunity to work with and train the students.

Throughout his married life, Raymond and his wife Alice grew a large garden, canning and sharing what they grew with their children.

Central to Raymond's life experience was his dedication to his church and his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Morning and evening devotionals were a family tradition. Nothing brought him more happiness than sharing his faith.
