Friends and family buried a U-T-C student this afternoon who died a tragic death earlier this week.

The Red Bank Police says 21-year-old Cassie Clements died early Monday morning after she pulled her car into the garage and continued to talk on her cell phone with the engine running.
Reports say she died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning, but officials are waiting for the toxicology report to see what, if anything, may have influenced her decision to remain in the car.
Clements was pursuing a double-major in education and nursing at UTC.

She was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

The School says they are staying close by the Chi-O house and the classroom to help students through this difficult time.
The visitation was last night, with lines wrapping around the building.

This afternoon, The Clements family held an additional visitation at the Chattanooga Funeral Home for two hours for those wanting to pay their respects to the family.

The prior visitation was last night with lines wrapping around the building.

The family held a private burial this evening.

UTC officials say they will hold their own memorial service for Clements next week.

When a tragedy like this happens, the school says it's important for them to be there for the student body.
