Hazel was the oldest of two daughters born to William David and Lula D. (Penny) Rainey. She married William Henry Black and they were the parents of two daughters: Margaret Ann and LuLu Montery.

Rites Saturday

Services for Mrs. William H. Black long-time resident of Wichita Falls, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday from Grant Street Methodist church with Rev. John McLean, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under direction of Hampton-Vaughn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Black, 68, died in a Wichita Falls hospital early Friday following an illness.
She was born Aug. 15, 1898 in Lockesburg, Ark. and resided in Wichita Falls the past 43 years. her husband was foreman of the stereotype department of the Times Publishing Co. 34 years. He retired in 1962.
Mrs. Black was a member of Grant Street Methodist Church and the Federated Missionary Society.
Survivors include husband; two daughters, Mrs. Otho L. Wicks of Wichita Falls, and Mrs. R. B. Hawk of Bruton, Ark(this is incorrect, should be Brewton, Ala), a sister, Mrs. W. C. Sutton of Ben Lomond, Ark.; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Herb Newsom, Joe Counts, Rev. Hodges, Ralph Benton, Harold Hopson and E. Russell.
