Greensburg, Ky, May 2 - The funeral for Charles W. Akin, 67, retired Louisville
policeman who died Monday at his home in Creal, will be at Liberty Baptist
Church. The body is at the residence.
Charles W. Akin, 67, died Monday at his home in the Creal section of Green County. Mr. Akin was born in Green County, November 21, 1893, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lora Akridge Akin; a daughter, Mrs. Arbutus Schulwitz, Roseville, Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. L. W. Scott, Greensburg, Mrs. O. W. Walker, Mt. Sherman, and Mrs. Eugene Loyall, Louisville; two brothers, Sam Akin, Magnolia, and Thomas J. Akin, Louisville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church with REv. Cosby Dobson officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chester Bradshaw, Wilburn Bradshaw, Hardy Warren, Herman Warren, Delmar DeSpain and Tommie Risen.
