The affiant, Moses Akin, being duly sworn stated under oath that:

I am the son of T. M. Akin and Mary Marcum Akin. My grandfather was Moses Akin, a Baptist minister and he was born in Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky January 15, 1807. My grandfather said that he was the youngest child and that his family was in camp at Stanford on the way from North Carolina to Green County, Kentucky when he was born. His father was James Akin born 1755 and his mother was Mary Murphy Akin born 1760 in Culpepper County, Virginia. His brothers and sisters were:
John, William, James, Susan Akin Hasher, Nancy Akin Morris, Polly Akin Peace, Debby Akin Gulsby [Goldsby?], Martha Akin Shoemaker and Sally Akin Elmore.
