Ms. Robin Leigh Moran age 45 of Barbourville departed this life on Sunday, November 01, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center in TN. She was the daughter of Jacqueline G. Moran and the late Lloyd Moran born to them on September 19, 1964 in Sarasota, Florida.

Robin was a graduate of Barbourville High School and attained an Associate Degree in Coal Technology. After earning her degree she entered the workforce in the underground mining industry and became a member of the Richland Coal Company Mine Rescue Team. Robin then moved into the healthcare field and became a very caring certified nursing assistant; she was employed at the Christian Health Center in Corbin for fifteen years and following that she worked for Southeastern Kentucky Rehabilitation Industry for two years. Robin was an animal lover who especially cared for cats, dogs and horses.

She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Moran.

Survivors include her mother, Jacqueline Moran of Barbourville, her ex-husband and life long partner, Larry Archie Buttery, Jr. of Artemus, one sister, Annette Hope Morris and husband Dennis of Barbourville, three brothers, Mark Lloyd Moran and wife Debbie of Barbourville, Robert Karl Moran and wife Judy of Corbin, and James Dale Moran of White City, Oregon, eight nieces and nephews, Dustin and Kasey Morris, Corey & Kristen Moran, Joshua and wife Christie, Jeremy Moran, Jeff Moran and wife Wini and Tina Marie Buttery, seven great nieces and nephews, special cousins Linda Kennan and husband Jim and Family, three special friends, Jamie Abuzour, Barb Donnelly and Tina Brooks. Robin also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Ms. Robin Moran will be conducted on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Carmicle and Rev. James Vandy officiating. Pallbearers will be Dustin Morris, Dennis Morris, Corey Moran, Mark Moran, Karl Moran and Jeremy Moran. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Andreae Collins, physicians and staff of Knox Family Medicine, the Christian Health Center staff, the Knox Co. Hospital Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit staff and the Johnson City Medical Center Intensive Care Unit staff. Robin will be laid to rest in the Moran Cemetery at Heidrick.
