Mormon Tabernacle Organist 1900 - 1925. He was also pianist and Director of the Salt Lake Opera Company.

John was born in Payson, UT. He organized the custom of giving free daily recitals at the Tabernacle and was a member of the National Association of Organists. He was
decorated by Albert, King of the Belgians as a mark of appreciation for a recital played while the king and queen were on an American tour.
