A depressing and fatal accident ocurred at the Nekoosa paper mill last Monday evening, at which time one of the employes lost his life. Thos. Torsney, who had only been employed at the mill since Dec. 30th, had his skull crushed between two rollers and died instantly. He was in the act of straightening out some paper which was being run into the machine and in some manner his head was drawn between the rollers and he was killed as above stated. Previous to his coming to this village Torsney had been employed at the Biron paper mill and was popular among his fellow workmen. He was a single man and his parents reside at Skaneateles, New York. The remains were shipped to that place on Tuesday.
