John Stump, 64-year-old town of
Armenia farmer, was instantly kill-
ed shortly after 1 o'clock yesterday
afternoon when he slipped and fell
into a high-speed buzz saw with
which a group of men were sawing
wood on the Stump farm. Funeral
arrangements have not been com-
pleted.
According to eye witnesses, Mr.
Stump was helping to feed the wood
into the saw when a falling piece
struck him on the foot, shoving him
forward. He was unable to regain
his balance, and fell head-first onto
the blade...
Mr. Stump moved onto the Juneau
county farm from Chicago in 1904,
where he, with his family, has since
resided. He came to this country
from Switzerland while a young
man, and married Miss Martina
Boetcher at St. Louis on October 7,
1901. Left to mourn his tragic death
are his wife, three brothers and
three sisters. His brothers and sis-
ters, with the exception of two, still
live in the old country.
