Wisconsin Rapids—James Nohelty, 30, Wisconsin Rapids, was killed when he was caught by a belt he was shifting on a shaft at the Port Edwards mill of the Nekoosa-Edwards Paper company. Nohelty had been employed as a machine tender for more than five years.

James married Pearl Ruby Linnell about 1916. They had five children during their marriage. Phyllis, Blondine, Dorothy, Wanda, and Don. Don was born 5 months after his father's death. Pearl died nine years later. Pearl had five sisters; after her death their children lived with their aunts & uncles. Luckily the family stayed close.
