Former Rapids resident killed in
stabbing at Evanston restaurant
A former Wisconsin Rapids
man, Gerald A. Bringman, 50,
Chicago, was stabbed to death
Friday evening in a robbery at
the Evanston, Ill. restaurant he
owned.
Also slain was Mrs. Christine
Adams, his assistant manager....
Gerald Bringman was born
October 8, 1921, in Rudolph, the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Bringman. Both parents are
deceased. His mother, Mrs.
Louise Bringman Erickson, died
recently.
Mr. Bringman never married,
but is survived by an adopted
son, Marc, in the Navy at
Newport, R. I., and, in addition
to Robert, is also survived by
another brother, Donald J.,
Nappanec, Ind., and a sister,
Mrs. Lois Whitehurst, Columbus,
Ohio.
Mr. Bringman worked for
Consolidated Papers, Inc., from
1940 to 1941 when he moved to
Chicago....
