She worked as a Dietician Technician at the Arnot Hospital, Elmira, NY, retiring in 1985. She was the past president of the Meridian Senior Citizen's and a member of the Harbison Chapter YMCA retirees. She was a member of the Butler YMCA Mother's Club and the UCT. She was a member of the St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church, where she served with the Women's Association and was a Sunday School teacher, elder and deacon. She received the Good Samaritan Award in 2002. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, flower gardening and her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son; three daughters; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John McCaslin, whom she married June 28, 1946, and who passed away December 22, 2008; and three brothers.
