Mary was a native of Armstrong County, Pa. She was a tiny lady, only around five feet tall. She and her husband, James McCaslin settled in Middlesex Township on a 100 acre farm. She was the mother of ten children, one girl and nine boys. Two twin sons died at birth and their daughter, Janie was crippled and passed away at 11 years old on Christmas Eve. The youngest son, Samuel, was killed in the oil fields by a gas engine.

Their remaining sons were: Andrew, James, John, David, William, and Mitchell.

My paternal great great grandmother.
