Born in January of 1904, Elbert James Dickson, a wonderful friend of those residing on Broadmead Street, Houston, Passed away April 8, 2008. Know by all as E.J., he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, all his peers and many friends, especially Gertrude Dickson. During his 104 years, E.J. Travelled the world, including distant Africa and many places in between. He collected small works of art representative of those travels. He was fondly known by his neighbors for his clever wit, smiles, made-up tunes and rhymes. We will all remember him, hoping to have his longevity and good health, to accompany the century-plus years, to be able to marvel at changes in the world and keep the laughter and love above all. E.J., you did well for those 104 years! Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
