Margaret Mueller Rose passed away on March 12, 2009, at the age of 101 years old. On September 24, 1907 Margaret was born to Alois and Magdalena Mueller in San Antonio, Texas. She was the youngest of eight very close knit and loving children. The Muellers were very proud of their German heritage. Margaret graduated from the Ursuline Academy in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward LaPorte Rose in 1971. They were married in 1929, made their home in Houston where he owned and operated Rose Supply Company. She was a very devout Catholic and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church from its founding in 1939. In 1998, Margaret was awarded "The Legion of Excellence Award" by St. Vincent de Paul School. Margaret is survived by her three children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Timothy G. Rose and Edward L. (Trip) Rose III. Her grandchildren adored their "Mimi". Margaret was loved by her nieces and nephews and her great nieces and great nephews, and was known to all of them as "Aunt Monie". Margaret was a dear friend to all and will be missed by many.
