Mrs. Blackwell, 81, died May 24, 2001, at McComb Extended Care. She was born in Mozell on Jan. 22, 1920, to William Holified and Anne Bell Crenshaw Holified.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Orville Ambrust and Herbye "Eddie Boy" Blackwell; and her son, Jerry Ambrust.
Survivors are her sisters, Ann Crawford of Pearl and Haze Roberts of Florida; and two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
