Grave recorded April 8, 1956 by the Chief Tusquahoma Chapter D.A.R. for the series "Louisiana Tombstone Transcriptions", Volume I, Page 99.

Her death certificate (listed under the name Mrs. R.L. Hare") states she died at Monroe and her maiden name was Smith.

R.L. Hare married Sophronia Smith in Ouachita Parish May 21, 1893.

Richard and Sophronia were the parents of at least nine children and most are buried in Loch Arbor: Unnamed baby, Jesse, Morris/Maurice, Clare, Rosa, Lillie, Earnest, Cincus, Elsie and Gladis. It can be assumed Cincus is buried in Loch Arbor too, but no headstone can be found.

MRS. R.L. HARE

Mrs. R.L. Hare, 65, of Swartz, died in a local hospital Friday at 1:20 a.m. The funeral will be held at Lock Arbor church Saturday at 10 a.m.
She leaves her mother, Mrs. Victoria Case, three brothers and the following children: Jesse S. Hare, M.R. Hare, Mrs. K.L. Gewin, Mrs. W.E. Palmer, Mrs. W.L. Jinks, Mrs. F.O. Patterson, Mrs. W.A. Bickham, Jr., and a number of grandchildren.
