Louise was born on April 30, 1926, in Gibson County, Indiana, to Oscar and Ethel Mae (Wallace) Stilwell. She was a graduate of Mackey High School and of Oakland City College. Louise was owner, operator and secretary, with her late husband, Charles W. Boone, and father-in-law, George W. Boone, of Boone Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel at 4th and Chandler Streets, in Evansville, for 38 years. Louise, her husband and her father-in-law also owned and operated Boone Funeral Home in Oakland City, Indiana, from 1930 to 1947. She was a 59-year member of First Baptist Church and a 53-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 555 in Evansville, Indiana. Louise was also a member of the American Baptist Women, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, the Alice Findlay Circle and a charter lifetime member of Welborn Baptist Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by brother, Charles Stilwell of Oakland City, Ind.; three sisters, Helen E. Helsley of Boonville, Ind., Clara E. Russell of Evansville, Ind., and Eleanor M. Nunn of Henderson, Ky.; 8 nieces, 15 nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Charles W. Boone in 2004, sisters, Marion and Beatrice Siekman, brother, Albert J. Stilwell, and father-in-law, George W. Boone.
