Charlie was born to Milt and Ruth (Wilson) Grable on May 8, 1940, in Gibson County, Ind. He was a 1959 graduate of Oakland City High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Charlie was a member of First Baptist Church and served on the Board of Trustees. He was the former owner and operator of Chief Photo, Inc. and the Film Barns in the Tri-State area. Charlie owned J & J Products in Evansville, at the time of his death. He was a member of Masonic Constellation Lodge #748, a member of the Hadi Shrine Temple, a member of the West Side Nut Club since 1975 and a past member of the West Side Businessmen's Association.
He is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Angela (Shanks) Grable, of Evansville; his daughter, Vicki Dickerson and her husband Lane, of Madisonville, Ky.; his son, Chris Grable, of Evansville; sisters, Betty Reutter, of Evansville, Barb Stover and her husband Joe, of Joplin, Mo. and Sharon "Honey" Marsh and her husband Tom, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five grandchildren, Whitney Knapp, Cody Grable, Ashli Dickerson, Jacob Dickerson and Anna Grable.
