Professional Wrestler. Billing himself as the "World's Strongest Wrestler, he held the American Wrestling Association title for only one week in 1965, having won the title from "Mad Dog Vachon" on May 15, 1965 and losing it one week later on May 22, 1965 to Vachon. Before becoming a wrestler he was a body builder and was named "Mr. Michigan" in 1954. One of his favored feats of strength was to have cement blocks broken on his head with a sledge hammer. Even though he was one of the strongest men in the business at the time, he was also said to be one of the most loved. He was 70 years old at the time of his death.
