Iona Blanche, daughter of J. F. and Mary E. (nee Wolfe) Mowrey, and wife of Clark T. Dresbach, was born in Saltcreek Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, August 30, 1884. On April 14, 1886, when she was still less than two years old, her Mother, after having cast many wistful, anxious looks upon her little children, passed to the great beyond, leaving her in babyhood without a mother's love. Although she was tenderly cared for and later had the privilege of calling another one Mother, whom she desired constantly by her bedside during her last sickness.

She was consecrated to the Triune God in holy baptism, April 16, 1886, by Rev. J. L. Durant.

Reared in the admonition of the Lord, growing up in the service of the Savior, through Sunday School and Church, instructed in Christ's holy religion, upon profession of faith in the Triune God, she was received into communicant membership of St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tarlton, by the solemn rite of confirmation, April 23, 1898, by Rev. J. M. Wenrich. She remained a devoted and faithful member until her brief pilgrimage was over.

She was a favored child of nature, with a sweet, gentle, loving disposition and had a host of friends.

She was married to Clark T. Dresbach, March 24, 1904. This union was of brief duration and in spite of all that medical skill and tender care of loving hands could do, she departed this life at her late residence in Clearcreek Township, Fairlield County, September 8, 1904, at the early age of 20 years and 9 days.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death, husband, one son - for whom she gave her life-, father, stepmother, two brothers, two sisters, many other relatives and community of friends.

The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon in St. Jacob's Lutheran church, Tarlton, in the presence of a very large and sympathetic concourse of people, her pastor, Rev. J. M. Wenrich officiating. It was one of the largest funerals ever held in that village. Interment in the Tarlton cemetery.
