Reba Sharlene Parks was born July 19, 1945 in Slaton to Elmer James Teal and Lorene Blacklock. She was raised in Post and graduated from Post High School. She and Barry Lee Parks were married on July 5, 1972.
Reba graduated from the LVN program at South Plains College in 1984 and from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing as an RN in 1988. She was employed with Methodist Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital for 25 years. She was her family's longtime genealogist and an avid reader. She was a survivor of the 1970 Lubbock tornado. Reba was a longtime member of Trinity Church.
Reba is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Robert; grandchildren, Emily and Jordan; her brother, Otis Gary Shepherd and wife Jewell; special friends, Robert and Katy; and great-aunt and uncle, Nora and L.J. Richardson of Brownfield. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Blacklock Shepherd; her father, Elmer James Teal; stepfather, Otis "Junior" Shepherd; her son, Sean Patrick Parks; and her husband, Barry Lee Parks.
