Anne was a resident of Newport, South Wales, England. She previously lived in Cardiff for a time, and was employed as a dispatcher with the South Wales Police Department for 25 years. When she became ill with renal failure in 1983, her sister offered to donate a kidney and the surgery was performed, saving her life. She owned a timeshare in Indio, CA, and enjoyed her times in the U.S., traveling and sight-seeing to other areas of the country in 1986. She became a Find-A-Grave Contributor in February of 2006, Anne (U.K.) (#46823709), serving for 2 years, and 7 months. She was particularly interested in WW2 veterans and Law Enforcement officers. She enjoyed meeting and communicating with people who had similar interests at Find-A-Grave. She was an animal lover, and loved to walk her two dogs, a German Shepherd and Border Collie. She was first and foremost a totally devoted mother to her son, Paul, and cherished the priviledge of being a parent. Sadly, she passed away after being one of the longest living Welsh kidney transplant recipients ever. She was predeceased by an infant son, Matthew. Not only was Anne a lovely lady, but she was always smart and full of life. She is dearly loved and will always be missed by her friends and family, including those who loved her here at the Find-A-Grave website.

A memorial to Anne was published a year after her death in the 7th-Sept-2009 Gloucestershire Echo in Cheltenham, Gloucester, England:
Anne Evans who died 7th September 2008
There is an empty chair by the table,
There is an empty chair by the fire,
There is an empty space in our hearts,
that can never be filled.
