OBITUARY OF ESTHER LEAH ADAIR

Esther Leah ADAIR, 86, of Perryton, died May 19, 1998.

Funeral Services will be Friday, May 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Family Church with Rev. Marion Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.

She was born January 23, 1912 in Perryton. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1930, and worked at the ASC office in Perryton, until marrying Worley ADAIR on August 18, 1936.

They lived in Lawton, where she was a babysitter and worked in a laundry. After a few years, they moved back to Perryton, then to Colorado in 1947. They moved back to Lawton in 1954, and then to a farm and ranch near Battle Mountain, Nevada in 1966. They returned to Perryton in 1985. Her husband died in 1990.

She worked at Perry Memorial Library for eight years, and attended Victory Family Church. She was resident of the month at Senior Village in December 1996.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, four sisters, five brothers and one half-brother.

She is survived by one son, John Thomas ADAIR of Pampa; a grandson, whom she raised, John Worley ADAIR of Amarillo; one brother, Harvey PLETCHER of Perryton; a niece and nephew, Ella Mae WAGNER and Bill PLETCHER, both of Perryton, who were raised with her after the death of their mother; one other grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Victory Family Church, Perry Memorial Library, Senior Village, or one's favorite charity.
