Dorothy M. Beers of Ravenna, Ohio, formerly of Cresson, died yesterday, May 28, 1977, at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna. She was born March 18, 1897, in Glasgow, a daughter of David and Emma (Mills) Briggs, and married George Beers, who preceded her in death. Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Irene Payo and John Calvin of Parma, Ohio, Mrs. Twila Neleski of Cresson, Mrs. Marie Cartwright, George Jr. and Edward of Ravenna, Mrs. Hazel Chernesky of Warren, Mich., Mrs. Margie Frymyer of Fairport Harbor, Ohio and Mrs. Roselyn read of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 36 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Matilda Hendrickson of St. Michael. Mrs. Beers was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Cresson. Friends will be received in the Casher-Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
