William "Dean" Beers Sr., 85, Utahville, died Wednesday at home. He was born in Fallentimber, son of the late Robert and Kathryn (McClellan) Beers. Surviving are five children: William Dean Jr. and Gary, both of Utahville, Lora Ross of Flinton RD and Timothy and Robert, both of Smithmill; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Bonnie (Kruis); and three siblings: Marquitta Miller, Darrell and Lorraine Miller. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport.
