Zona Hawkins

Mrs. Zona J. Hawkins, 76 passed away Saturday night, Oct. 23, 1971 at the Allegan Health Center. Mrs. Hawkins was born July 24 1895 in Reader, W. Va. , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fair. Surviving is her husband, Melvin E.; three sons Floyd of Kalamazoo, Robert and Joe, both of Gobles; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Vilma) Filip of Gobles; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Butler, Moundsville, W. Va. and Mrs Opel Price of Reader, W. Va.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Lou Palmer, Pine Grove, W. Va. and Mrs. Pearl Roth of Cambridge, OH; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday from the Gobles Chapel of the Robbins Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Arnstrom officiating. Burial was in Robinson Cemetery. Memorials were made to the Respiratory Disease Foundation.
