Ranch hand "Billy" Calder was tried, convicted and executed by hanging for a robbery/murder in Lewistown, Montana. His execution took place in the Lewistown Jail Yard. His execution was the first and only "legal" hanging in Fergus County, Montana.
He was buried in the Lewistown City Cemetery and the wooden grave marker has long since disintegrated over time.
