Retired Postal Official Dies in Florida

William J. Dickinson, 59, Fort Meads, Fla., formerly of 2620 Spruce Street, retired assistant superintendent of mails at the Port Huron Post Office, died Thursday in Bartow Hospital, after an illness of one week.
Mr. Dickinson was born March 13, 1904, in Marine City.
He served three years with the U.S. Marine Corps and retired two years ago from the Post office and moved to Fort Meade.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mae Dickinson; two daughters, Mrs. James J. Carpa, Port Huron, and Mrs. Francis Hamilton, Bartow; six sons, Leroy W., Harold K., Donald E., and James E. Dickinson, all of Port Huron; Russell L. Dickinson, Orlando, Fla., and Clarence J. Dickinson, Ocala, Fla., 20 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, Norman Dickinson, Highland City, Fla., Lee Dickinson, Marine City, and Rev. Russell Dickinson, Cadillac, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. William Alfin, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Arthur Norgrove, Plymouth, Mich., and Mrs. Herman Bush, Flint, and several nieces and nephews.
The remains will arrive at the Arthur Smith Funeral Home Sunday noon.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
