Pro football and basketball player. After graduating from Harding High School in St. Paul in 1936, he went to Hamline University. He had brief careers in the NFL and NBA. He played four games for the Brooklyn Dodgers as an end in 1942 and was in three games for the Boston Yanks in 1946. During the war he played on the Fort Warren Broncos service team in 1945. He played one game at guard for the Boston Celtics in the 1946-47 season in the Basketball Association of America (forerunner to the NBA).
