Mr. Blaine Franklin Abrecht, 20, of 432 W. South St., Frederick, died Wednesday, June 5, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1981, in Frederick, he was a son of Rosemary G. Abrecht of Frederick.
Mr. Abrecht attended Frederick High School. He enjoyed time with friends and playing football, baseball and ice hockey.
Surviving in addition to his mother are maternal grandparents, James F. Abrecht of Frederick, and Lillian Anderson of Brunswick; two uncles, Clyde Abrecht of Clear Spring, and Robert DeGrange of Brunswick; two aunts, Barbara Ann Abrecht of Frederick, and Ruth Jenkins of Brunswick; and numerous cousins, including Jonathan Parks of Frederick.
Mr. Abrecht will also be remembered by his godparents, Mike and JoAnne Crummitt of Knoxville; his girlfriend, Haley Selby of New Market; his friends, Chris Watkins of Charles Town, W.Va., and Al and Ellen Daw of Ijamsville; and his cousin Jonathan's fiancee, Carrie Cummins of Frederick.
Mr. Abrecht was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Wilma and Clyde Abrecht and Roscoe and Olive DeGrange.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, at Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 1201 N. Market St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Skip Manley, deacon at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Frederick, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
