Mr. Robert Kaiser

Mr. Robert F. "Hank" Kaiser, 55, of Frederick, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Walkersville. He was the husband of Clara Jean Wivell-Kaiser. Born Jan. 15, 1946, in Richmond, Va., he was a son of Ruth Weller Kaiser of Frederick, and the late Robert Henry Kaiser. Mr. Kaiser was a social worker with Frederick County Department of Social Services from 1974 to 2001 and was assigned to the Division of Adult Protective Services. He served three years in the U.S. Army, including one year in Vietnam. He was a 1963 graduate of St. John's High School. He received his associate in arts degree from Frederick Community College in 1972, a bachelor's degree in sociology from Mount St. Mary's College in 1974, and his master's degree in sociology from Hood College in 1983. Mr. Kaiser was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Frederick. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and was an avid saltwater fisherman.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two brothers, James C. Kaiser of Frederick, and Gregory A. Kaiser of Taneytown; one daughter, Kathleen C. Kaiser of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; one grandchild, Kayla Grace Kaiser of Harpers Ferry; and three nieces, Kimberly Parrotte of Urbana, Angela Snyder of Myersville, and Stephanie Rock of Taneytown. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where prayers will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 116 E. Second St., Frederick, with the Rev. Leo Titler as the celebrant.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, Md. 21784.
