Leslie A. Cruger, 45, of 12806 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at her residence. Born Sept. 15, 1958, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frances R. Cruger of Hagerstown and the late William Henry Cruger. She was employed by the State of Maryland as a social worker for the Potomac Center, a social worker at Washington County Hospital Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Program, and a clinical social worker at the Meadow Dialysis Center. She attended Pelham Memorial High School, Pelham, N.Y., and graduated from Boonsboro High School, the class of 1976; graduated from Hood College in 1980 with a B.A. degree; the University of Maryland in 1983 with a M.S.W. degree; and the University of West Virginia with an advanced certificate in health care administration.

She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church. She was a member of the Board of Social Work Examiners; National Association of Social Workers; Diplomat in Clinical Social Work; Adjunct Lecturer and Field Supervisor at Hood College and Shepherd College for B.S.W. students. She appeared in several Potomac Playmakers Productions. She was a member of Hagerstown Chapter 89 Order of the Eastern Star.

Besides her mother, she is survived by a nephew, William L. Gordon of Florida; two aunts; one uncle; and four cousins. She was preceded in death by a stepsister, Joan Cruger Gordon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson and the Rev. Carol Hallman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
