Mr. James Albert Page Sr., 76, of 4314 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, died Saturday, March 18, at his home. He was the husband of Thelma Elizabeth Page, his wife of 30 years.

Born Sept. 23, 1923, near Adamstown, he was a son of the late Joseph William and Nellie Coughlin Page. Mr. Page was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Frederick.

He was a retired area farmer and enjoyed spending time on his front porch swing waving to friends and passersby. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, James A. Page Jr. and wife Jennifer of Frederick, and Melvin M. Page of Myersville; three stepchildren, Gary W. Shelton and wife Teresa of Point of Rocks, James V. Shelton of Frederick, and Terry M. Krantz and husband Mark of Frederick; six adopted children, Adam J. Page, Richard W. Page, Michael A. Page, Phillip W. Page and Amy E. Page, all of Frederick, and John D. Page of California; and 11 grandchildren.

Mr. Page will also be remembered by his friend, Lisa Hewitt of Frederick.

Mr. Page was preceded in death by two brothers, William Page, who died in 1999, and Edward Page.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the funeral home. Mr. Page's pastor, the Rev. Marina Flores, will officiate.

Interment will be in Manor Cemetery, Church Hill.
