Ms. Mannie (Mamie) Estella Dawson, 64, of Frederick, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 7, 2011 at her home.
Born on March 24, 1947 in Poolesville, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Nettie Geraldine Jackson and William Edward Dorsey.
She was a well respected childcare provider and helped others to raise their children. She enjoyed going to and having yard sales, cooking, talking and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her three daughters Ieshia Plummer, Tatyana Dawson, and Briana Dawson and one son Jordan Dawson.
In additional to her children, she is survived by one sister Catherine Dorsey in Wheaton MD, and four brothers Richard Dorsey and wife Mary of Kensington, MD , William (Muscle) Dorsey and wife Jackie of W. Virginia, Allen Dorsey of S. Carolina, David Dorsey and wife Lisa of Martinsburg W. Virginia , one aunt May Florence Mason of Bowie, MD, one uncle Richard Jackson of N. Carolina and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Addison, Louise Gant, and Alice Marie Dorsey; one brother Wayne Dorsey.
