Ann Delores Hopper, 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012. Born on March 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Naylor. She was the loving mother of three sons: Kevin Naylor (Elizabeth) of Hagerstown, MD, Jeffery Hopper and Bruce Hopper (Camilia), both of Frederick, MD; and one daughter, Beth Hopper of Frederick, MD. She leaves behind four grandsons: Corey of Raleigh, NC, Nathanial of Hagerstown, MD, and Jaren and Brison of Frederick, MD; one granddaughter, Aliyah of Frederick, MD; and one sister, Shirley Neal (William) of Frederick, MD. She also is survived by two nieces: Cheryl Moore of Richmond, VA, and Cynthia Neal of Frederick, MD; three nephews: Gary of Atlanta, GA, and Terry and William ("Billy"), both of Frederick, MD; two first cousins: Barbara Lee of Hagerstown, MD and Diane Bell of Gaithersburg, MD.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William "Billy" Naylor. Ann will also be remembered by long time and close friend, Dorothy "Dottie" Thompson of Frederick, MD, and the "Golden Girls". Ann was a longtime member of St. Paul AME in Dickerson, MD where she served on the Usher Board, Missionary Society, Benevolence Team, and Gospel Choir (as president).Ann retired from the Dept. of Social Services in Frederick, MD in 1997; she worked for 25 years as a Home-Health aide. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to her grandson's basketball games, watching sports on TV, and working on crossword puzzles.Homegoing services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Jackson Chapel UMC, 5600 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD 21703. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. The interment will be at St. Paul AME Church Cemetery.
