Mary Randolph Whitehead, 101, of Algood, TN, passed away May 7, 2000, at the Masters Health Care Center in Algood. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey, TN. The Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
Mrs. Whitehead was born on Oct. 19, 1898, in Putnam County, TN, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Rice.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosetta Jackson of Cookeville, TN; 47 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Asberry Randolph; four daughters, Bessie Scarbrough, Linnie Bumbalough, Beulah Hunters and Avina Scarbrough; and four sons, Frank Randolph, Arb Randolph, Wallace Randolph and Hollis Randolph.
