Bessie Simpson
Bessie Fay Simpson, 63, died at her home in Corcoran Friday. She was a native of Tennessee and had lived in Corcoran for 34 years. She had at one time been employed as a telephone operator.
She is survived by her husband Bert of Corcoran; two daughters, Jeanette Squire of Corcoran and Claude Richardson of Lompoc; a son, Neil Simpson of Denver, Colo; two brothers, Claude Pitts of Siginaw, Texas, and Travis Pitts of Sanger; three sisters, Bertie Lum of Sanger, Cleo Kriss of Kansas, Mo., and Ludie Jackson of Cleveland, Texas; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday afternoon in the Bledsoe Chapel in Corcoran and burial followed in the Corcoran District Cemetery.
