SSGT, US ARMY
WORLD WAR II, KOREA, VIETNAM
The best way to describe my Dad is to watch the movie Grapes of Wrath. He started out poor in life, he worked hard to help his family out during the great depression. He had a successful military career serving in WWII, Korean and VietNam conflict. For a short time when he first entered the military he was a driver for General Bradley, and he was also one of the first members of the Thor Missile Corp. and also served in SAC for a number of years. He retired from the Air Force and went to college, he became a Chemical Engineer and did that until he retired. In the end there was still things he wanted to accomplish, but he decided it was time to rest. He is survived by his wife Lois J. Hiley
