Wounded June 29, 1864. Served to Appomattox; R.E. Lee wrote he had an "amiable disposition." Married Julia Francis Appleton, a grand-daughter of Daniel Webster. Moved to New England. Served as a court reporter and as a stenographer in Massachusetts.
