WILLMAR -- Craig Steven "Louie" Christianson, 55, of Willmar died Saturday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Private burial will be at Vikor Cemetery, rural Willmar.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, with a time of sharing at 6, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
He was born Aug. 31, 1952, in Willmar to Maynard L. and Alice Jean (Reese) Christianson. He grew up in Willmar where he attended Garfield Elementary. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1970.
He married Lois Patzoldt. They lived in the New London and Willmar communities. He was one of the founders of Christianson Brothers Construction, where he worked construction and later worked as a mason. He also was a musician, playing lead guitar and providing vocals in numerous bands for more than 30 years, including TASZ, Man Eye 3, Grey Steel, Freight, Time Piece, Mixx Up, Mile City Band, Saint Clair Louis Band and CC and the Lost Cause Band.
He is survived by his children: Kyle Christianson of New London, Ashley Christianson and Felicia Christianson, both of Willmar; a grandson; his mother: Alice Jean Asche of Spicer; and siblings: Doreen (and John) Magnuson of Willmar, John (and Sandy) Christianson of St. Cloud, Alyce (and Jerry) Miley of Avon, Ron (and Jeanine) Christianson, Kevin Christianson and Todd (and Lisa) Christianson, all of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by his father
