Private Riemer of Co E, 344th Infantry, sone of Michael and Rosalina (Lau) Riemer, born in 1889 and served during WWI. Gave his life for his country on Nov. 10, 1918 one day before the war ended, having been hit by a stray bullet.

Survived by his parents; fourbrothers: Albert, William, Bernard and Walter; six sisters: Bertha Wordell, Ida Behnke, Rosalina Kieper, Laura Meyer, Clara Schroeder and Annie Brandes. Preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Louis and also by two sisters Hudina and Emma.
