Joe was born March 3, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State university with a Master's Degree in Microbiology. He was a biochemist for Ross Labs and Chemical Abstracts Service. For the last several years he ran Home Buyer's Inspection Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Active Reserves.
Joe is survived by a brother, Richard (Pauline) Broz, Nahunta, Georgia; a sister, Arlene Dixon, Hebron, Ohio, and a special nephew, Bryan (Amanda) Dixon, Pataskala, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Jessie Riboczi.
Joe felt community service was important. Among his many involvements were: past president of Northeast Kiwanis Club, Man-to-Man prison release program, Boy Scout leader, Big Brothers, foster parent to many, and served on the Board of Directors of the The Bridge, a Northland Counseling Center. In recent years, he volunteered at St. Vincent Haven in Newark.
A special thanks to Craig Rowe, his caregiver for the last several months, Hospice of Central Ohio, and visiting nurse, Linda.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery with a private ceremony.
